One of my best pics till date. Pic is taken in the gardens of tughlakhabad fort. Butterfly is busy having food , all the details of the event is captured in full focus and rest all things are out of focus giving image a very beautiful look.

One More Try at Thunderstorm

I have tried to take one more Picture of ThunderStorm. This time it is better than before.



There is heavy rains and thunderstorm in Delhi , which is unusual at this time in delhi. Even last monsoon also it has not rained like this.

I have tendency to blame this on Global Warming. :-)

Thunder Storm Delhi

Yesterday ( 20th May 08) Delhi witnessed a thunderstorm and heavy rains.
I have tried very hard to take some pictures and this is what i was able to capture



I still wonder how Photographers are able to capture high resolution images of Lightning which occurs in a split of second

Lotus Temple

Lotus Temple , follows all religion. It believes GOD is ONE and all religion leads to one direction only. The main teaching is to follow peace. Architecture is supurb. You will feel relieved after visiting the temple. It has no statue nothing ... just a place to sit in peace and worship or prayer.

Absolutely necessary in todays world.

When visiting delhi remember not to go in summer season.

AKSHARDHAM

Akshardham is a Swaminarayan Temple.
I dont have a very great deal of knowledge about swaminarayan you can find all the details on http://www.akshardham.com/
In last few years Akshardham has become one of the most visited sites in Delhi. There are Movies which are showed in the temple and Musical Fountain shows. Movies are really good and are innovative way to know all about Swaminarayan.
Cameras are not allowed inside the temple and you have to leave it outside the temple.
This is Swaminaryan's Second temple in India , the first one is in Ahmedabad. But the one in delhi is the larger and more grand one.
Must a visit on your trip to Delhi.

Choosing A Camera

Choosing a Camera is not an easy thing, it took me many months to choose a camera and buy it. There are budget constraint, functional requirements, knowledge constraints also in my case.

Let me share my experiance with you so you could also choose the camera , the one that actually suits you.
I followed elimination method. First thing i needed was manual focus, as the focus at various occasion using an automatic camera does not give the best results.
This limitation put a lower limit to the options available. Next thing which i came to know was that DSLR cameras dont offer a Video recording options i needed this option in the Camera, so all DSLR cameras are out of question. This left me with only very few choices, which have mannual Focus but not DSLR, i came to know such kind of cameras are also called as prosumer cameras.
Next thing came into picture is the Processor , Wide angle lenses, Company , and the model. I had fair bit of confusion with Lumix FZ something, Sony Cybershot and CANON Powershot series.
After fairbit of confusion , i came to know one or two persons who were very happy with the quality of CANON IS series, and S5IS was new in the series, so after so much due diligence , we decided to go with CANON S5IS camera.
In India the camera is very costly so if you want to buy camera , buy it from US , as the price differencial in US and INDIA is upto 100% of price of US.
